LADY LIVERPOOL FUND.
SPREYDON BKANCH. The monthly meeting of the Sprcydon branch of the Lady Liverpool Fund was; held in the Council Chambers, Barring-j ton Street, the .Mayoress (Mrs \V. H. Winsor) presiding. Mrs Winsor reported that printed I lists of all goods which have been sent: in to the Central Depot up to April 10 were ready for distribution to every i householder in Sprcydon. A large quantity of handkerchiefs had been made up by the Somertield School children. l The winners of the doll competition were Messrs Bell and Eaves. A success fill concert was held in aid of the men's No. 2 bandage class, and thanks were due to the Tramways Comedy Troupe for supplying the programme. A meeting was held in the Methodist Schoolroom, Selwyn Street, to try to organise a committee to undertake the bandage work -in the No. .'! area, but it met with a poor response. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the Misses, Ranger, on behalf of the Phillipson Tent' of Rechahites 81, for a ''gifl evening'' held in aid of the above funds.
