THE RUAHINE'S MEN.
TWO HUNDRED SOL2JIERS. FINE RECEPTION AT CAPE TOWN. GOOD TREATMENT IN ENGLAND. I'rtus Association. AUCKLAND,'January 5. The Ruahinc arrived at 11 p.m., bringing six officers and 201 n.co.'s and men, who went on board at Plymouth. All are now convalescent. The majority were wounded in the early lighting, a large proportion belonging to the Main Body, though the Reinforcements arc represented up to the Fifths. Many of the men had been wounded in the chest, and had been sent to England for special treatment. The men had a good voyage. A very line reception was extended at Cape Town. GovernorGeneral Buxton extending a personal welcome to each man. The men were taken on motor excursions, entertained at clubs, etc. They speak very highly of their treatment at the hospitals in Britain. Most were given free railway passes anil reduced fares, to enable them to go sight-see-ing in the towns. A large proportion will shortly be fit to return to the front. Captain Wallingford is among the returned party. The men were entertained at a. civic reception and luncheon.\ The southerners will go forward by the Ruahine.
