SHOOTING ACCIDENT.

A YOUTH SERIOUSLY INJURED. A serious shooting accident occurred near Rangiora yesterday morning. Four cousins, Stanley, Arthur, James, and Carr Rowe, went out rabbit-shooting in the Ashley riverbed at Coldstream, and while they were examining a bush for a wounded rabbit, Stanley's gun exploded. Arthur received the full charge in his left side. Two ribs were shattered, and the shot passed out of the lad's back. His left arm was also smashed below the elbow. He was attended to by Dr Will, and subsequently conveyed to the Christchurch Hospital.
