A Press Association telegram states that the year 1915 may be classed as one of the dry years in Wellington. April was the driest month, but in 10 months the rainfall recorded was below the average for those months over a period of 60 years. The total rainfall for the year was 27.83 in. while the average for Wellinsrton is 49.60 in.
