THE LYTTELTON FATALITY.

BODY NOT RECOVERED. The name of the young seaman on the steamer Wanaka who was accidentally drowned at Lyitelton on Saturday was Forrester Robertson. He was a son of Mr J. B. Robertson, of 283 St. Asaph Street, Christchurch, a well-known tradesman in the city. The lad was only IS years of age. He was born in Port Chalmers, but had lived in Christchurch practically since his infancy. He went to sea about a couple of years ago, and had made voyages in the coastal, intercolonial, and 'Frisco trade. Mr Robertson says that his son was not subject to seizures of any kind, and he thinks . that the fatality was caused through overbalancing. Much sympathy is expressed with the deceased's parents in their sudden bereavement. Dragging operations have so far been unsuccessful.
