PORT OF SYDNEY.

The Harbour Trust states that the number of vessels entering the Port of Sydney in the last financial was 9446, and the net registered tonnage was 8,164,133 tons, being 678 vessels and 1,272,977 tons less than in the previous year. The goods imported were 4,487,606 tons, a decrease of 593,664 tons. The value of the imports was £46,217,756, compared with £53,613,030 in the previous year.

AN IMPORTANT SALE.

The most important sale of city property since the war began is reported. A portion of the Sydney Arcade, at the corner of George and Kip.g Streets, realised £112,500.
The amount of real estate business transacted in the year was a million less than in 1914. ,
A NEW REEF.
RICH GOLD FIND.
SYDNEY, December 26.
A rich gold find is reported near Yulgibar, on the Upper Clarence. Four days' work yielded 40 ounces, equalling 600 ounces a ton. The : cfxtent of the-reef is unknown. The shaft has only been sunk four feef
PEA RIFLE TRAGEDY. /
ATTEMPTED MURDER AND
SUICIDE.
SYDNEY, December 26.
A tragedy is reported from Oatley. A young man named Abby fired several rifle shots at his parents, slightly wounding his mother. He then committed suicide. There was no apparent cause for the act, '
