(Received December 27, 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, December 26. 11 is reported that Marshal voir Mackensen is in command in Alsace. Swiss reports indicate that the Germans have been heavily reinforced there.

There is growing artillery activity at Ypres and the La__Jsassee Canal, and it is believed to herald a big: German offensive.
