CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. y

MATCHES AT TIMARU. (Special to The Sun.l TIMAHU, December 26. Tlic Christmas Bowling Tournament was opened at Timaru 011 Christinas Day under excellent weather conditions. Visiting bowlers wore present from all centres between Rakaia and Invercargill. Two greens were used—and Kia Toa—both being in excellent order and playing very fast. The number of visiting bowlers was slightly below that of the last ; Christinas tournament, but there was no falling off in the quality of. the play. The results of Saturday's play in the rinks competition were as follow:
