WILL PAY "'£lso to the .legal personal representative of; the bona fide holder of this Insurance Coupon if the holder thall be killed Ly' an accident within the Dominion . of ; New Zealand, to any Railway Passenger Train or Passenger Steamer in which such holder is travelling as a : fare-pay-ing passenger, or 'to any Public Omnibus, Coach, Tramway, Car, Cab, or Carrier's Cart which is being driven by a , licensed driver plying for public hire and in tyhich the holder is travelling as a fare-paying passenger, or to any cycle! which the holder is actually riding and; not being propelled by mechanical power; or (2) £SO to the holder should such accident as übove defined not prove fatal but cause, the loss of one limb above the wrist or: ankle, or the loss of the sight of one eye; or (3) AN ALLOWANCE OF £1 PER ,w£EK for a period not exceeding 13 weeks; should such accident as above defined render the holder temporarily and totally unable to follow his or her usual vocation. PROVIDED THAT the above undertaking is subject to the following special conditions, which are of the essence of the contract, viz.:— ! Ift) That such death or Joss result within 30 days after the accident.
{b) In the event of any dispute between the holder and The Sun as to whether such disablement renders the holder temporarily or totally unaKle to follow his or her usual vocation, it is agreed that such dispute shall be referred to the. decision of a'medical referee to bo nominated by The Sun, whose decision shall be binding upon the parties. (c) That notice in case of injury or death be given to The Sun, at its Office, 87 Worcester Street, Christchurcli, within 14 days after the accident. (d)That the benefits of this insurance arc payable only to persons over 15 years and under 70 years of age. {e) That this Insurance is limited to one In* surance Coupon associated with this publication for any one holder. (f) That the holder be a subscriber for Th« Sun duly registered in the books of Th« Sun, or that the holder be a reader who has given to a recognised Agent for Th« Sun a signed order for the daily delivery of The Sun for a period of noi less than six week days, and thereafter until countermanded, in' either of which ■cases this Insurance shall hold good during the currency of such subscriptioii oi order as from 6 p.m. of the first day oi delivery, including any days during such period on which The Sun is nol issued, but not beyond 6 p.m. on May 1, 1916. (g) That the husband or wife of a sub' scriber or regular reader as defined in (f) above shall be entitled to the benefits aforesaid. Ed to at once make a Jthorough investigation of the club's books and affairs; that the-auditor should be empowered to call on any official, past or present, of the New Brighton Trotting Club, for any information that may be required, and for the. production of any books or documents the property of the club; the auditor to report to the association at as early a date as possible. The committee's report was adopted, and it was decided to ask Messrs. Ollivier Bros, to conduct the investigation. In consequence of the prohibitive imposts she has been called on to carry in pony events recently, the New Zealand-bred mare Margarita has been promoted to "horse" company at Sydney meetings. The well-known Victorian pony jockey Tom.McGrath is credited with having ridden nearly 1000 winners since he commenced his career 14 years ago. This must surely be an Australasian record. It is understood that W. Huxley was returning to Australia with Bullock, but he went to India, and won a race on Soultline at Poona. F. Bullock is on his way to Melbourne, but will return to England in time for the next season. TEMPLAR.
