SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

SYDENHAM. At the last meeting of the Sydenham School Committee, there were present: Mr J. Butterfield (in the chair), Mrs Hunt, Mrs Webb, and Messrs Batley, Boyce, Duncan, Forrester, and McLachlan. An apology was received and accepted from Mr Cameron. The headmaster reported that the number on the roll was 1038. In connection with the school concert, a silk flag, presented to the Sydenham branch of the Red Cross Society, would be auctioned, the proceeds to be given i to the Red Cross Fund. Messrs Batley, Boyce, and Butterfield were appointed a Visiting- Committee for the ensuing .month.
