DARDANELLES' COMMANDS. Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 30. A cablegram received! by the Defence Minister reports that changes have been made in the commands at the Dardanelles. General Birdwood, who has commanded the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps since the commencement of operations, has been placed in control of all the British forces at the Dardanelles. Doubtless, he will work under the direction of General Monro, who was sent to succeed General Sir lan Hamilton, but who has remained at Salonica.

General Godley succeeds General

Birdwood in command of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Previously he commanded the Australian-New Zealand division of that corps. He is succeeded in that position by Brigadier-General Sir A. H. Russell, while BrigadierGeneral Legge commands the Australian division, the other portion of the army corps.
