A BY-ELECTION: A poll was taken at Riccarton yes- . terday • to fill th,e vacancy on the Riccarton Borough Council caused by the Resignation of Councillor G., W. J. Parsons. The poll resulted in the ejection of Mr T. J. Stcrkes,who defeated Mr. J. Sheate by 12 votes. The polling v was as follows: Shcatc. Stokes. Infml.
