HALSWELL SPORTS.

IN AID OF RED CROSS. The secretary of the Halswell Sports Club (Mr E..T. Moyna) has written to The Sun with regard to the sports meeting which the club proposes to hold on Boxing Day in aid ,of the Red Cross Fund, Mr Moyna states that a doubt has got abroad as to the bona fides of the club, and in order to set that doubt at, rest he desires The Sun to publish the following letter which he has received from Mr C. J. Treleaven, ; secretary of the Canterbury and West Coast Centre of the St. John Ambulance Association:—"l understand that your sports club contemplates holding a sports meeting on Boxing Day next, the monetary proceeds of which will be handed to the Red Cross Fund. If you shall require any assistance or advice I shall be glad to give it to you."
