A meeting of the Produce Section, with which is associated the Bankers' ►Section in the River Bank Carnival organisation, will be Held at the Chamber of Commerce this evening, and the' convener (Mr H. Brown) invites the Lank staffs to be present in strong force. Mr W. IT. TTale, of Broomfieid, suffered rather a serious loss on Sunday, when his woolshed was destroyed by fire. Unfortunately, Mr Hale was in the middle of shearing, and the shed was ready to commence operations the following morning. On having a look around ou Sunday evening, one of the shearers found flames issuing from the wool-storing portion of the building. The fire spread with great rapidity, and very little was saved. Besides losing the building, Mr Hale had 10 bales of wool, 70 ewes, a new binder, grain mower and rake, wool press, new scales, stack covers, etc., totally destroyed. The building was insured in the Victoria office for £l5O. As the wool, etc., was uninsured, Mr Hale estimates his loss, roughly, at £450.
