HOW DUMB A WAS EXPOSED.
MISLAID 'DOCUMENTS. The "Matin's" Havre correspondent refers to the "New York World's" revelation of a secret German organisation formed to foment strikes and pro-German agitation in the U.S.A. Brussels people will recall (says the. "Matin") a certain M. Albert, who was the general German emissary at the Brussels Exhibition. He there obtained the Grand Cross of the Order of Leopold, and he showed himself to be a man of such insinuating manners and zeal that his masters conceived the idea of employing him in the U.S.A. as financial councillor. It was this man Albert who mislaid the precious documents which have led to the discovery of the vileness of the Bodies. He had taken train surreptitiously, and was carrying Jhe secret papers to a German club, in order to keep them safe from theft or perquisition. But forgot them while, sitting on a bench. , 4 The same evening a reward of 500 dollars was promised in the papers to anyone who should restore the documents.
The following day the "New York World" published simultaneously the notice of the reward and the text of the documents.
