CHEVIOT RED CROSS CARNIVAL. The Strolling Players received a very enthusiastic reception last Saturday, when they motored to Waikari and gave a splendid entertainment to assist Miss Jackman, the Dardanelles Queen. As a result the Eed Cross Fund will benefit to the extent of about £SO. The following were the performers:—Madame Audibert, Misses Lillian Greene, Daphne Sherwood, Gwladys Hopping, Cicely Winnington, Messrs Audibert, A. Maedonald, P. Jones, and A. Weir. The same company will give a concert in St. Mark's Schoolroom, Opawa, on Thursday, December 2, in aid of the Opawa branch of the Red Cross Fund.

We have on exhibition in our windows, the Sweet Peas which took the first awards at Little River Show; judge, Mr Nairn, of the well-known Lincoln Road Nurseries.
