NAZARETH HOME CONCERT.
On Sunday afternoon last members of the committee which organised - the recent concert in aid. of the Nazareth Home, visited the institution for the purpose of presenting the Rev.. Mother Superior and Sisters of Nazareth With the net proceeds of the entertainment. Mr W. T. Ward, on behalf of Miss Nellie Hayward and those -who assisted her, handed over a cheque for £175 12/-. He expressed the sincere appreciation felt for the work the Sisters were doing, and it gave him great pleasure to be able to show, in a practical and tangible manner, the sympathy of the whole community in the charitable selfsacrificing .endeavours of the Sisters. The. Citizens' Defence Corps Fund for tlie assistance of wounded soldiers also benefited, though in a lesser degree, by' the sale of flowers and sweets, the sum of £2l 7/7 being realised for this fund.:
Several outstanding sums had yet to be added.
On behalf of the Rev. Mother and the Sisters, the Very Rev. Father Graham, S.M., M.A., expressed sincere gratitude for the results of the efforts of all concerned in promoting the entertainment, especially to Miss Nellie Hay ward and Mesdames «T. S. Barrett and McLaren.
