FOOTBALL OR FIGHTING?

To this Editor of THE SUN. Sir,—l hope that the Football Association will hold a thorough enquiry into the conduct of several players in the match United v. Nomads on Saturday. A,more extraordinary display it has never been my misfortune to witness, and the fact that three players were ordered off the ground by the referee speaks for itself. The - controlling body should deal with the offenders in a sharp disciplinary fashion, and show, more emphatically that the game must be piayed in a sportsmanlike spirit. Saturday's exhibition should not; be. allowed'to passywith* out the severest official comment.— I am, etc., . ; ' .. . „ SPECTATOR.
