LONDON, July 2G. American diplomats agree that the Note is practically an ultimatum, offering the alternatives of compliance and defiance. The latter will assuredly mean an open rupture. The arguments of the Note are considered unassailable. The American Press universally supports, and Americans are solidly behind Mr Wilson, no matter what results may ensue.
