Mr Austen Chamberlain, in the House of Commons, said that the British attacked and captured the main position on the Euphrates on July 24. They captured 11 guns, two machine guns, and several hundred prisoners, and counted 500 Turkish dead. Our casualties in .20 days' fighting were from 300 to 400.
