Mr F. J. W. Fear, of Wellington, has been advised by the Minister of Defence that his eldest sou (Lancc-Cor-poral Francis J. 11. Fear) has been awarded the Distinguished Servicemedal. , LanccCorporal Fear was born in Wellington 27 years ago, and was educated at the Kilbirnie School and the Wellington College; He joined the Now Zealand contingent formed at Home, and is now with the forces on the Gallipoli Peninsula. His youngest brother (Sergeant Reginald G. V. Fear) went away from Wellington with one of the Now Zealand contingents.
