* ST. ALBANS GUILD. On Thursday lust Mrs J. G. Rule gave a "Boston Tea" «t her residence, "I'oranui," ('.hunter Street. Amongst those present were the following:—Mesdanics Qiuine, Collins, Audley-Jones, W. Fleming, J. Jiuchniutn, R. .1. Muni'o, Hill, Oesboroiifth, McDavitt, Champion, Knight, nimtiihcll, Dickinson, Winchester, and the Misses Collins, Wheeler, Folkiird, Wilson-Janes, Hawkins, Roach (2), Desborough, .Steel, and Hockley. The guests brought gifts, and these were sold during the afternoon, realising over £O, which umount was handed to the secretary of the St. Albaus Hcd Cross Guild for the purchase of material. The singing of the National Anthem and thanks to the hostess concluded a very successful afternoon.
