RANGIORA SALE.
A SMALL MARKET. The weekly market at Kangiora today was u particularly small one, growers evidently realising that it is useless to send stock forward under present conditions.
PAT SlltiUP. The yarding in this class totalled about iOO, and the quality was rather inferior. There were rather more than was required and bidding was slack, more especially for unfinished sheep. The. sales were made as under: .1. Croft, 34 lambs 13/9, 3 ewes 9/1, 6* ewes 12/4, 10 do 10/tJ; T. Pulley (Loburu), F2 do .1(5/10, II do ir>/:i, IS do 17/-; Ryan Bros. (Pernside), IS wethers 18/-, .1.7 ewes 12/7: .). Catlierwood (Rattgiora), 4 wethers IS/-, 10 do 17/0, 19 do 17/2,
18 do 17/0; F. A. H. Mnuson, 20 ewes 11/-; A. P. Pulton (Oxford Road), 14 wethers l~>/4. STORK SI IK PP.
The yarding of store sheep was very small and consisted wholly of old ewes, except for one line of good breeding ewes, and for these there was little competition. Sales were as under: 32 forward ewes' 7/2, 37 do 7/-, 28 aged ewes 4/1, ">3 do 5/-, 00 six and eighttooth ewes 13/7.
TIGS. A very much sum Her number of fat. pigs were penned than whs the case a week ago, though the quality was hardly up to the average. Values were on the same basis as last week: Light baconers, 4(5/- to ~>B/-; heavy baconers, 00/- to 67/G; average price per lb, sd; light porkers, 2(>/- to 21)/-; heavy porkers, .'{()/- to ."»V-> average price per lb, 5d to ">Ad.
