The Victorian Cricket Association has announced that it does not favour the proposal to change the number of balls in an over from six to eight, The Tai Tapu Cricket "Club celebrated the end of the season on Saturday last by a match with a team from Kaituna and Little River. Tai Tapu made 128 (Barnett 50 not out, Watson 42, I)umpleton 16). Kaituna-Little River got 64 for five wickets (Tini 24 retired). Tor Tai Tapu Tnylor got three wickets for seven runs, and for their opponents "French got four for 40, and Samuels two for 34" A watch was played on Saturday between the Riccarton Borough Council and the Riccarton Burgesses' Association. Tne association made 31 and 89 (declared closed with six wickets down), total 120. The council made 51, and 70 for no wickets, thus winning the match by 10 wickets. CJropp made 47, and Smith 25 not out. In the evening the association entertained the council in the Town Hall. A euchre match was played, and was won by the association..
