Falgar, J. Underiwood, W. J. Mitchell, R. Walker, T. B. Pike, J. Mullaney, and W. Movie. I The costume of the Hornby Club ! (all black) was approved, as was also | the costume of the Federal Club (black I and old gold); The New Zealand Council wrote, asking for nominations of players'for the - New Zealand team to tour Australia in June. The Selection Committee wiw instructed to supply the names of players by Saturday next. The following sub-committees wer j, appointed:—Match, Messrs A. E. Hooper, W. J. Mitchell, R. Walker, A. R. Brunsden; Permit, Messrs J. Mullaney, T. B. Pike, D. Buchanan; Junior Competitions, Messrs J. Mullaney, F. Ayling, E. Borough, H. Boyns, 11. Falgar; selectors, Messrs D. McGregor, D. Buchanan, R. J. Stirling; Grounds, Messrs W. J. Mitchell, F. Moore, J. H. Gearry, and H. Falgar. Mr J. J. Stevens was appointed the committee's delegate to the Referees' Association. It was decided to commence the competitions on Saturday, May 1. THE RUGBY GAJfIE. The Linwood Corinthian Association Football Club pmyed a team from the White Star liner lonic at.Lyttelton.on Saturday afternoon, Linwood winning iby 9 goals to 6. For Linwood, Parlett (2), Tupe, Davies, Mitchelly Harris, Heatley, Bennett, and Simpson scored goals, and for the lonic, Fisk (2), Cameron, Allen, Ling, and JDhonias were the scorers. At Officers' Point Recreatien Ground, Lyttelton, a team from.the Christchurch Gas Company defeated a team from the lonic by 10 goals to 4.
