PIGEON FLYING.
The Christchurch Homing IMgeon Society fleu' off a young bird race from Culverden. Thirty-three birds were sent, divided amongst 11 owners. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 12.45 p.m. in fine weather* and strong south-west wind. The winner was Mr W.
