MISSION CIRCLE.

ANNUAL MEETING. The first annual meeting of the Christchurch ■ Mission Circle was held last night at the Y.M.C.A., the Kev. G. S. Bryan-Brown presiding. The Rev. J. Paterson explained that the purpose of the Mission Circle was to inculcate a knowledge and understanding of mission work ami a grasp of the problems to be grappled with. The Mission Study Circles studied the books on the subject, and by their discussions learned as much as possible of the subject. The method of working was demonstrated by means of a special class. The report, which covered the work done since the /inception of the circle, was adopted, together with the balance sheet.

Officers were elected as under: —President, Rev. G. S3. Bryan-Brown; vicepresident, Rev. J. Paterson; lion, treasurer, Mrs Kaye; hon. organising secretary, Mv JT. R. Plimsoll; hon. secretary, Miss E. Armstrong; lion. Press secretary and foreign correspondent, Miss Bourdillon.
