CYCLING.
SWIFT CLUB'S ROAD RACE. A 16-mile road race, started" from Sockburn, was held last evening by the Swift Cycle Club. Sixty competitors started. A. George, scr, won, and also secured fastest time, 41min. A. Vizier, 3min, was second, and 11. Haynes, smin, third. It was a fine finish, George winning by only half a wheel. E. Mathews secured the prize for fastest unplaced competitor.
