The Attorney-General is suing the editor of the "Cygnet" - for alleged libel contained in a paragraph published on October 9. NEW ZEALAND FODDER. QUESTION-OF DUTY. (Received December 15, 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, December 15. The Land Tax Bill has been read a third time. Mr Sampson urged for the removal of the duty on fodder, owing to the shortage, and asked if the Government had arrived at an agreement regarding the importation of New Zealand, fodder. BRISBANE, December 15. The Hon. F. G. Tudor replied that the Federal Government had offered the State Premiers to act as a buyer of New Zealand fodder for all the States, but they did not appear anxious to accept the suggestion, and none of them had applied for a remission of the fodder duties. BRISBANE, December 15. In. the Assembly the railway vote and other items, totalling £2,000,000, were passed.
