EXPLOSION OF DYNAMITE. BLAZING CAGE FALLS DOWN SHAFT. By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright. (Received December 10, 12.20 p.m.), NEW YORK, December 9. While a box of dynamite was being lowered with a party of miners in the shaft of a mine belonging to the Western Coal Company, of Pennsylvania, it exploded, wrecking the cage, and killing thirteen. There was only one survivor. The cage, in flames, fell to the bottom of the shaft.
