AGED WOMAN LOSES SEWING MACHINE. ONLY NINE SHILLINGS OWING. "Times" and "Sydney Sun" Service#. (Received December 10, 8 a.m.) LONDON, December 9. A woman, 75 years of age, at the Westminster Police Court, complained that she had lost her sewing machine. She had paid £lO by instalments over a period of seven years, and, her eyes failing, she had been unable to pay the balance of 9/-. Two of her sons had enlisted and gone to the front. • The magistrate said the machine had been wrongfully:, seized, and ordered it to be returned.
