ALARMED DUNEDIN.

SUPPLY OF FLOUR. RESOLUTION OF LABOUR COMMITTEE. Press Association. DUNEDIN, November 27. The following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Political Labour Representation Committee last evening:— That this committee, in view of the alarming Press reports that only some few days' supply of flour is in hand in the Dominion, enters an emphatic protest against the apa- . thetic attitude adopted by the Government, and at once calls on it to assume the responsibility of protecting the people from the rapacity of the holders of foodstuffs; it further calls the attention of the public to the full powers conferred on the Government by regulation made in the Commerce Act to seize flour or other foodstuffs for any purpose, including the sale to the public.
