Sailed —Rejin, for Wellington; NOTES. The Chatham Islands Fishing Company's Himitangi is expected at Lyttelton from the Chatham Islands to-morrow morning. She will leave for Wellington in the evening, and- go back to the Chathams from that port again, calling at Waitangi, Owenga, and Pitt Island. Advices from Australia state that Captain W. D. Wood, senior harbour pilot nt Sydney, ■ is lying dangerously ill in a private hospital in North Sydney. Mr D. Ross, -fourth engineer of the Monowai, is being relieved by Mr C. Lawless. Repairs having been effected to the South Taranaki Shipping Company's steamer Mann, the vessel sailed last evening for Wellington. Late'st charters include the four-masted schooner Alumna, 644 tons, fixed to land a cargo of lumber at Gray's Harbour for Wellington. En route from London to Port Chalmers, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tonginiro arrived at Hobart at 7 a.m. on
Tuesday, and continued her voyage the same dny. The vessel is bringing a lai'ge number \ of passengers to New Zealand, being due there on Sunday. This morning the Union Company's Manuka, arrived at Lyttelton from Sydney, via Wellington. Fine weather generally was experienced on the run across to New Zealand. Included in her cargo were transhipments ex the fjteainers Nikko Maru, Orsova, Innanuicha, Houtman, and Pfalz, the principal lines being:—9B3 packages tea, 20 cases whisky, 278 bales wool, 40 cases sugar, 37 lmndles steel sheets, 13 rolls lead, 324 pieces hardwoodi 300 kegs fertiliser, 55 bags bottles. 4 cases yeast tablets, 5 bales jute, 35 bags almonds, 228 cases fruit. Owing to the docking of the Wahine, the Manuka will act as ferry steamer to Wellington to-night. She will leave Wellington on her return to Sydney to-morrow, reaching that port on Tuesday. In order to have repairs effected to her bow rudder, the ferry steamer Wahine will j»o into dock at Lyttelton to-day, remaining
here until Saturday. The Manuka, which Is returning to Sydney, via Wellington; will act as ferry steamer to-night, and the Mokoia, coming south from Auckland, via Bast Coast ports, will take the Wahine's running on Friday evening from Wellington.
