There are two new members for Cashmere and one for Hillsborough. WAIMAIRI. Tho polling yesterday for the vacancy to represent the Marshland Riding of the Waimairi County Council resulted in the return of Mr John Fitzpatrick. Following is the result of the voting:— J. The first three candidates were elected. ASHLEY.
Messrs Hugh Elisor, John P. M. O'Halloran, and Richard Parish have been elected unopposed to the Ashley County Council as representatives of the Mount Thomas Riding. A poll will take place on November 24 in the Lobura-Whiterock Riding for four representatives to the council from Messrs I. Furby Croft, Michael Fitzgibbon, sen., John S. Hiatt, John Joyce, Edwin C. Philpott, and James Wilson-
ELLESMERE. At the poll taken yesterday for the election of two councillors for the Irwell Biding of the Ellesmere County Council Messrs John Cunningham and Thomas Andrew Stephens were elected, the voting being as follows: — John Cunningham 124, T. A. Stephens 120, J. S. Boag 106. EYRE. Nominations for members of the Eyre County Council closed on Saturday. For the Ohoka Riding the four fitting members are again candidates, while fresh nominations include Messrs T. Skevington and R. Ward for Ohoka Riding and Mr T. Lindsay, \of Fernside, for Swannanoa Riding. AMTJRI. (Sun Special.) WAIAIJ, November 19. There were four candidates for the Waiau Riding of " the Amuri County. Mesßrs F. Northcote and K. Pettigrew were elected.
