ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE OVERSEAS.

Reports received by the authorities of the St. John Ambulance Brigade Overseas show, that the various divisions throughout this Dominion are continuing quietly and unostentatiously to work for the cause of the sick and wounded in the war. All the nursing divisions have been engaged in preparing clothing and- material for Queen Mary'a Needlework Guild, which'has been established at the headquarters of the Order of St. John in London, and" in addition many divisions have entered enthusiastically into the task of collecting funds which are urgently wanted at St. John's Gate for furthering the work-of providing succour for the sick and wounded. During the past few weeks shipments of material have been forwarded by the following working divisions,* viz.:—Auckland, Morrinsville, Hamilton,. Christchurch, Selwyn, Kaiapoi, Greymouth, Hokitika, and Dunedin, and in addition the following nursing divisions have consignments almost ready for dispatch:—Onehunga, Thames, Wellington, Wellington South, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Masterton, Napier, Timaru, Westport, Caversham, Green Island, Oamaru, and InvercargilJ. Other divisions will also follow. The following list of remittances show that many of the units have been extremely active in this direction: —Auckland Coi-ps, £5; Auckland Ambulance Division, £5; Auckland Nursing Division, £5; Morrinsville Nursing Division, £l2 12/-; Christchurch Nursing Division, £24 9/-; Selwyn Nursing Division (Christchurch), £22 17/5; Ashburton Nursing Division, £5 17/11; Oamaru Ambulance Division (collected by friends in the Kurow district), £2B 11/6; Hampden Nursing Division, £l6 0/9; Palmerston South Ambulance Division, £7 10/-; Palmerston South Nursing Division, £7 10/-; Dunedin Nursing Division, £24 10/6.
