MR H: G. ELL. Mi- H.G. Ell," Liberal candidate for Christchurch South, addressed a meeting of 'supporters" in the Church of Christ schoolroom, Moorhouse AA-enue, last evening.. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried on the motion of Mr J. Robertson, seconded by Mr J. McEillion.

Whiting, Labour candidate for Christchurch South, addressed a meeting at the corner of Moorhouse AA'enue and Aiitigiia Street last evening, a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence being passed. Later in the eA'ening he addressed a. meeting in thd Somerfield Street Hall, Avheu a similar motion was carried.
