Four hours . after leaving Lyttelton, in a heavy head ■ wind ami -sea, the bow'.rud<_|ei' carried away, and it took the engineering staff four hours to repair it. Then the Wahine caiue along at about 20 knots. The steamer is expected to *ail to-night as iisual.
