DRAINAGE BOARD.

ORDINARY MEETING.

At the meeting of the Drainage Board, held la£t night, there were present: —Messrs C. Otley (in the chair), F. Storey, F. J. Barlow, S. C. Bingham, j. Down? H. Langford, J. Richardson, and H. Holland.

The engineer reported that substantial repairs had been effected to a bad break which had occurred at the head of the storm-water sewer in Falsgrave Street, , arid no further trouble was anticipated. He also reported that the septic tanks erecte'd by the Heathcote County' Council in connection with the Cashmere sewerage are now at work. — The report was adopted. It was resolved to thank Mr T. H. Davev, M.P., for his services to the board in piloting through Parliament the Amendment Act giving the board control of the Heathcote River.

Accounts amounting to £IO6O were passed for payment.
