. GOVERNMENT WEATHER FORECAST. The following forecast was issued by the Government Meteorologist, Wellington, at 9 a.m. to-day for the enstiing. 24 hours:— Southerly winds, strong to gale, with a westerly tendency, prevailing. Stormy weather may be; expected, and the weather will, probably prove squally, with, heavy showers, and probably become very cold. Barometer unsteady, but rising after about 10 hours.
