CYCLING.
The Swift-Cycling Club held their opening Derby this afternoon over a course from Sockburn to Templeton and back, a distance of. 144 miles. Sixty competitors faced the starter. The- result was: —Hi, Davy 1, L. Brown 2, 11. Faulkner 3. Timej 41min 20sec. . A; George gained fifth place and fastest time, covering the course in 36min 20sec. The first race for the silver cup will be held 011 Saturday, December 12. -
