The Crevecceur is an old-time French breed, and in its native country is highly esteemed as a table fowl. It is black throughout in plumage colour, with black or leaden shanks. The skin is white. As layers the haas are only fair, their eggs being whiteshelled and large in size. They are practically liin-sittcTs. The chicks axe odd in appearance, are hardy, make rapid growth, and fatten easily. *.Phe weights demanded for live specimens are 71b to 81b for males, 61b to 71b for females.
