THE EMPIRE IS AT WAR! THOUGHTS FOR TO-DAY, TO-MORROW, AND EVERY SUCCEEDING DAY. The New Zealand Expeditionary Force has been dispatched to take part in modern warfare. Individual members of the Force will suffer from death, wounds, disease, and all the horrors ,of war. Many will return maimed for life—others incapacitated through wounds and disease. ' Remember—"He chucked his job and joined it—so the job before us all Is to help the home that Tommy's left behind him!" The man have left their wives and little ones, to fight for your homes and your liberties, as well as for their own. Lip patriotism in itself is sheer hypocris3 r ; patriotism must be backed with something practical, to be worthy of the name.
