THE HOUSEKEEPER'S HUSBAND. Press, Ansscuttion. WELLINGTON, November 6. Charles Blake was charged at the Magistrate's Court to-day with irig William Faiilkner. The incident occurred two" weeks ago. The police stated that Faulkner's wife kept, home for Blake, who was seeing tlie wforrtan home one night when her husband attacked him with two large sticks. It was alleged that Blake drew, a revolver and 'fired at Faulkner, and also severely wounded him in the head with the butt of the weapon. As Faulkner could not be found, the police sought an adjournment, which counsel for the defence strongly opposed, stating that Blake was a city business man, who only acted in self-defence and wished 'the case disposed of. An adjournment for a week was granted.
