A COMMISSION OF ENQUIRY; [From our own Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON,\ October 30.. Mr A. H. Hindmarsh (Wellington South) asked the Prime Minister in the House to-day Ms attention had been drawn to a paragraph in the ''-Times'' reporting a statement by Cr Fletcher in the Wellington Municipal Council that young and inexperienced men had been put on as valuators to value the property qf the' city of Wellington. He would like 1 ta know whether there had been any-alteration in the personns of the; valuators. The Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey said that as far as he Mew no changes had been made in the staff of the : .Valuation Department so far •as Wellington was concerned. to the complaints of excessive valuations in Wellington, Auckland, and other places the Government had decided upon a Committee of Enquiry, the members of which had already been decided upon. !
