ST. MATTHEW'S DAY SCHOOL.
PATRIOTIC tONCERT. Other items were an amusing dialogue entitled '' Delay is Dangerous," ".Cherry' Blossom Drill" by the girls, a number of Japanese songs and a pianoforte duet by Masters R. and D. Ward. The enjoyment of the evening was enhanced by the playing of a number of selections by Mr Oakes 's orchesra. The entertainment was brought to a conclusion with that popular old fairy play, "Beauty and the Beast," the following children taking part:—Verna Whitehead (Beautj r ), Myra Edmonds (the Beast), Doris Tucker and Gladys Ward (Beauty's sisters), Duncan Ward (Baron Jocelorum), Gordon Ireland (Jester), Keith Henderson (Secretary).
