HUNTLY RELIEF FUND.

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the Executive Commitrtee of the Huntly Belief Fund was held yesterday. It was stated . that arrangements had been made for Professor Gabbatt's lecture on English folk songs to be held at the Alexandra Hall on Thursday evening. As before, Professor Gabbatt will be assisted by Miss Millicent Jennings. The entire net proceeds will go to the fund. Professor Gabbatt was thanked for his offer, and a vote of thanks was also passed to Messrs Willis and Aiken, Ltd., for having printed hand-bills regarding the lecture. The clerk of the Huntly Town Board, on behalf of the chairman, wrote acknowledging the receipt of a parcel of clothing from Mrs "Wilding and her sewing committee, and thanking those ladies and members of the committee for the gift. The Mayor and the joint secretaries were authorised to prepare a statement for publication showing the urgent need for a liberal response to the appeal for the relief of the widows and orphans.
