CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Canter-, bury Bowing Association was held last evening, Mr F. D.' kesteven presiding. ', The executive's' annual report, a synopsis .of , ; which- has , appeared before in The , Sun, was adopted. In moving the adoption of 'the. report, the preaident referred to the Avon Club's excellent progress last year, and congratulated that club on its performances. ' .'.,'•'', Officers were elected as follow: President, Mr F. D. Kesteven;* vicepresidents, Messrs A. E. Craddoek, N. L. Macßeth, and H. H. Smith; secretary and treasurer, Mr M. S. Gentles; auditor, Mr H. Berry. The delegates appointed! were: —- Avon 8.C., Messrs H. Tapling and E. E. Nightingale; Canterbury 8.C., Messrs W. H. Evans and B. J. Hobbs; Union 8.C., Messrs F. D. Kesteven and T. Chambers; Akaroa 8.C., Messrs F. S. Otley and A. Fisher; Timaru 8.C., Messrs W. Duggan and C..-G. Farrow; Cure 8.C., Messrs J. H. Keetley and A. Ti Brunsden. • No notification had been received of the nomination of the Sumner Rowing Club's delegates. It was. decided ■to ask the Drainage Board to receive a deputation, consisting of Messrs F. I). Kesteven, B. J. Hobbs, and R. E. Nightingale', regarding the state of the river.
