WEDDING AT AMBERLEY.

A very pretty wedding took place at Holy Innocents' Church, Amberley, yesterday, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. C. A. Tobin, vicar of Burwood. The bridegroom was Mr James Francis Taylor, second son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Taylor, Wairarapa Farm, Papanui, and the bride Miss Flora Louisa Greig, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Alexander Greig, of "Struan," Amberley. The bride, who was given away by her eldest brother, Mr Geo. Greig, wore a beautiful gown of brocaded and plain silk crepe in a delicate champagne shade. The skirt was finished with a little tucked basque of plain ergpe over a. second basque of brocaded material. The bodice was completed with a sash of wide ribbon in a cheek effect of blue and gold, ending in a handsome ; tassel, combining the two tints. Her [hat was a very stylish confection, in ! champagne tagel, with full lining of goffered tulle, and ornamented with a wreath of flowers in shaded tones of champagne, golden-brown, and tangerine, with knot of velvet ribbon. The bandeau was-filled in with flowers and velvet ribbon to tone. She carried a lovely bouquet in harmonious colours, and was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Edith Taylor (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Dorothy Stewart (niece of the bride). The former wore a dainty white embroidered voile frock, wide floral sash, and a pink hat veiled in. Vhite crepe, and trimmed with a French-wreath in pink and white flowers. She carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers, The other bridesmaid wore a dross of white and floral voile, and a hat similar to Miss Taylor's, except that it was carried out m blue and white. s -She also carried a suitable bouquet. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Ernest Taylor (brother) as best man, and Mr T. Webley, s>f Christchurch, as groomsman. . The service was fully choral, Mrs J. C. Thompson, jun., presiding at the organ and playing the Bridal March from "Lohengrin" and Mendelssohn's .""Wedding March" as the wedding party left the church. After the ceremony a small reception Was held at "Struan/' where the bridal couple were the recipients of many good wishes and gifts. The bridegroom 's present to the bride was a gold watch bracelet, and to the bridesmaids emerald and gold necklets. Later in the afternoon the newly - "wedded, couple left for their honeyi moon, which will be spent in Wellington and Pietcm. The bride travelled iin a smart costume in black and white checked tweed, and a hat of elove-col-oui'ed tagel trimmed with saxe blue Oriental silk.
