AUCKLAND DROWNING CASE.

WITNESSES REMANDED IN CUSTODY. Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 19. The coroner's enquiry into the death of the woman Ward, alias Lindopp, found drowned in Auckland harbour on October 5, concluded to-day. The woman was identified as Alice Beatrice Wai'd. The coroner, Mr Cutten, S.M., intimated that he would announce the verdict to-morrow. Meanwhile, Frank Taylor, the witnews who had declared the woman was drunk when she fell into the water, would be remanded in custody on a charge of vagrancy.
