HUNTLY RELIEF FUND.
A concert was given at the Victoria Square Band Rotunda last evening by the C.Y.C. Band. The band played a capital programme, and the music was appreciated by the promenaders. A number of ladies, under Mrs T. E. Taylor, took up a collection in aid of the Huntly Relief Fund, the amounts received by the collectors being as follow:—Mrs Herbert £1 6/3, Miss Rita Hunter £1 5/10, Mrs Thaekwell £1 4/10*, Miss Ruby Hunter £1 1/8 hj, Mrs Davis 10/4-A, Mrs -A. Thaekwell 12/6, Mesdaines Taylor, Derrett, and Hunter and Misses Ber-yinan, Gordon, E. Howard, M. Howard, and Wilson (2) £1 18/SJ. The executive is indebted to Mrs Davies, of the Federal Hotel, for the use of a room for the ladies who undertook the collections, and also to the ladies whose efforts have resulted in a welcome addition to the fund.
